Monastir : 

The city of Monastir is a peninsula on the Tunisian coast. Its natural setting comprises a plateau, a lagoon, a variety of beaches and a number of islands, the largest of which are the Kuriat islands. Monastir’s history goes back a long way, the various archaeological digs conducted by specialists, its ruins and monuments are testimony that the city has seen several human civilisations come and go. The city of Monastir is also a university city, with ten higher education institutions specialising in a variety of scientific and medical areas.
